This piece is a taster of a movie soundtrack concept I am working on for The Master’s Rose, a new manuscript (and screenplay) from my friend Hannah. I found the story deeply moving and gripping – what wonderful characters and plot!
Winter at Blackmore corresponds with a December scene, ahead of the Christmas celebrations at the fictional country estate of Blackmore. Perhaps you will recognise the Christmas carol which was the ‘rib’ from which this piece was formed.
We filmed the video for Winter at Blackmore at the Muskauer Park, one of the largest English style gardens in Central Europe. Hannah and I wanted to catch the sunrise so we travelled there early and had the park pretty much to ourselves. It was beautiful and we had fun capturing the footage. The wildlife were particularly cooperative on this morning!
